Team Hike – 15th anniversary hike second try! (October 31 – November 2): East Mombasha Road South to Continental Road around Tuxedo NY.

Friday night park at East Mombasha Road and hike south to camp on top of ascent.

Memorable moments:

· Boner, Flush, JD, The Rick & Gramps went up early and stashed stuff in the woods for second night

· Met by Gump and Hicks who each walked in alone.

· Ate and drank like champs – Fresh Shrimp, Fresh Striper, Chicken Fajitas, Pork Loin, hot dogs, 3 cases of beer, 2 bottles of vodka a bottle of wine and a bottle of rum seemed to disappear.

· Gump did stand up comedy

· Hicks led us in song around the campfire

· Breakfast of champs, taco-sausage-bacon egg and cheese breakfast burittos

· Started Saturday’s hike at around 11

Saturday night hike south from East Mombasha road and camp at Wildcat Shelter

Memorable moments:

· Flush almost died on the hike, said he is throwing away his gear and never going on team hike again.

· There was a battle for the Shelter with a family with little kids. They decided to camp at the other spot but fairly close to us. They were warned that this might not be the best idea but they stayed close anyway. We figure by about 8 PM they must have realized this was an awful decision and their kids received an education that they shouldn’t have for about 15 more years by listening to our conversation.

· Parker and Ron got to camp just after dark

· Spugs came in late as a nice surprise

· Once again we ate like kings – more fresh striper, tuna, dolphin, pork loin, bacon wrapped scallops, wild bore – simply too much food!

· The Rick was presented a sippy cup and leash to avoid getting too drunk and falling in the fire.

· Carlo as a Team Hike rookie received his Team Hike rock

· Hot dogs for breakfast

· Great tasting chalice
